The most delicate curves...The roughest material... It’s this meeting, this paradox that gives strength to the metal cuts. A steel lace-- the feeling of this rough matter, the grain of the cold metal, contrasting with the feminine curves: a silhouette, a face, and generating pure emotions, without a mask.

Metal submitted to erosion, cuts and weldings. Metal pieces assembled together directly on the white wall to create emotions. Light plays with the surfaces, and the cuts become animated to tell us a story. A different story for each of us.

Frédéric Daty likes this confrontation with the hard material. A physical confrontation to give birth to delicate silhouettes previously drawn with fluid ink and a soft brush. Drawing, cutting, welding, and the grinding down-- from the raw matter comes nature, life.
