Ysabella Choung (YoungShil) was born in the City of Seoul, S. Korea and moved to Canada about eleven years ago.

From a very young age she showed tremendous skill in designing and crafting.


Ysabella Choung has always showed a love of design in art form and a flair for the balanced, varying aspects of colour and texture in both her graphic and ceramic art, as well as in illustration and drawing. Whether it's ceramics, graphic design or illustration, she expresses her work with many innovative, creative influences to produce vibrant art pieces of complex human thought. She is always full of creative energy and treats each project as a new adventure.


Over the past years there have been numerous exhibitions of her work as ceramic artist in Korea and Canada, and her ceramic works have been sold to many buyers around the world.


She began her formal art education at Seoul, South Korea, where she also obtained a Master's degree of Fine Art with an emphasis in Ceramic Art.  She also has a diploma of Graphic Design. She currently resides in Ottawa, where she continues to further her successful career as a ceramic artist, as well as a graphic designer at Le Cordon Bleu culinary art school.


Since launching into her career as an ceramic artist, she has received numerous awards and media reviews for her works, and has exhibited widely throughout the South Korea and Ottawa, Canada.
